The people behind music blogs can sometimes be a little anonymous. Have you ever seen our writer’s faces, or heard our voices? In all honesty, this isn’t really a necessary part of what we are doing, as we want our editorial, our selections and ultimately the music to do all the talking.
However, it’s sometimes nice to put a voice or a face to the brand, so we were happy to accept a recent invite from Juice Radio‘s Tony Marks to make an appearance on his new music radio show. Juice.fm is a popular local radio show – the largest in our city – and Tony’s show runs every Monday to Thursday, 7pm-10pm, providing new music from some of the world’s most established artists and new talent.
We went in to the studio armed with a couple of tracks to show off and to discuss our blog. We took one of our favourite tracks from last year, ‘Shapeshift‘, by the awesome DELS, as well as a brand new tune, ‘Good Luck‘, from a brand new band, Cymbals.
Tony enjoyed it so much he’s invited us back to be a regular part of the show on a monthly basis to report from the blog world and to bring some hand-picked, cutting-edge tunes. To hear the part of this week’s show, with us chatting and playing tunes, you can listen below.
