The editor for the TsuruRadio blog nearly jacked it all in during a recent lull in motivation for music blogging. In a moment of inspiration during a crisis meeting with his writers, he discovered salvation. Rather than kill off what he had worked so hard to build, he thought it more rewarding to open up his site to the global community of music bloggers.
Several emails, Gchats and a batch of re-designs later, the Paper Crane Collective was born and we are pleased to announce that it launches today. We now have a base of 22 music bloggers, from all over the world, contributing to this new collective site. One of the main differences with this joint venture is that it’s not an aggregator, as we all have specific slots each week that we will be contributing original editorial for. The Recommender’s slot is initially listed as the 3rd Monday afternoon of each month, but will likely grow to more slots once things settle down.
We hope you enjoy digesting even more original editorial from The Recommender on there, as we hope to try and write about subjects that we wouldn’t naturally cover on here, such as album reviews and playlists. In the mean time you can find the full list of bloggers, the entire story behind PCC’s creation, the timetable of posts, plus all the links you need to hook up with The Paper Crane Collective right here.
