Here’s a band on a sure-fire path to success. So sure in fact, that you may as well call them Three Door Cinema Club. Not only are they reminiscent of the Northern Irish band who ran away with 2010, but they too are now signed to the French fashion house and record label, Kitsune.
We first covered this exciting three piece band back here on The Recommender and discussed how their sound befits a teen audience and is aiming straight for Radio One. You get pumped up cowbell indie pop, that hammers out singalong choruses and big synthetic chords.
The new single, Sunshine Eyes, continues the cowbell antics and uplifting mood and we’ve been handed the accompanying video as an exclusive. It’s released on Kitsune next week and includes a handful of tidy remixes by Jensen Sportag, Kid Adrift and Channel Swimmer. The details for the single’s launch party is here at the Cluny on 22nd April. You can also catch them at this year’s Great Escape at three different shows across two days. (MB)
