If you have an iPad you probably have Flipboard, right? It’s basically an essential App that is an absolute must-have for all iPad owners. Described to us by a good friend as the “App I use to show off how amazing an iPad is“, it was declared as Apple’s number 1 App for iPads in 2010. If you don’t own an iPad, this App will make you want one. It’s that good.
You need not question The Recommender’s integrity with writing this post, as we’ve never been one of those blogs who agree to do ‘advertorial’ endorsing certain products; there’s actually a rather special and unique reason for talking up Flipboard today. This blog was lucky enough to become a featured site on their ‘Entertainment’ section this week and it’s something we’re not only proud of but keen to shout about.
Look at the above screenshot, with us sitting right up at the top there. Yep that’s us, above Rolling Stone. Looks nice doesn’t it? You see, we like to thing that we’re a forward thinking music blog that enjoys spending it’s time embracing ‘the new’, so when a contemporary application such as this chooses to endorse us it feels like a marriage made in cyberspace. The whole idea behind the App is to serve up rich content like a social magazine. It allows you to literally flick through all the content that’s being shared to you on your social networks in a magazine format. And it looks exquisite. Just one more way that we can now deliver The Recommender to our readers, but don’t thank us, thank Flipboard.
