It’s a well known fact that music bloggers read music blogs. It’s a large chunk of the traffic on the busy blog highways. We’re a chatty, well-networked bunch you see. So last year we decided to canvass the opinions of those music bloggers by asking them to nominate their favourite blogs in a peers-only vote to see who they thought was the Best Music Blog of the year.
They responded in their hundreds. This year we’re doing it again.
There are millions of blogs out there, as varied as the waves on the ocean and just as far reaching. It’s often hard to know exactly which one to catch, so we hope this vote will act as a guiding light, then you too can discover those blogs that are truly outstanding, worthy of praise and a repeated visit.
We now declare the books OPEN!
It’s very easy – simply leave a comment on this post listing your favourite three music blogs of 2011. There are some rules that apply (read below!), so make sure you check them, then double check them, before you vote! Any votes that don’t follow the rules will not be counted (last year we had 68 incorrect votes that couldn’t be counted, so please don’t make that same mistake). If you edit, write or contribute to a music blog then what are you waiting for! Get voting!

Closing date is November 30th. We will aggregate the votes as they appear. The winners will be announced early in December. Please follow us on Twitter for updates and announcements. The winner will receive an award that they can place on their music blog and virtually polish with pride.
The results from the 2010 vote can be seen here. If you have any questions, or issues, then please let us know. Remember, this should be a fun, encouraging and positive exercise for all. A poll for the best in music blogging, by music bloggers, for music bloggers. It doesn’t get more back-scratchingly awesome than this, so VOTE VOTE VOTE…
Thanks
